Introduction about the Trust

R.C.Gupta Memorial Charitable Trust (Regd.) was founded by Mrs. Pramodini Gupta in 2002 in the fond memory of her late husband Mr. Ramesh Chand Gupta. The trust is run and managed by their Grand daughter, Miss Devika Gupta with the help of a team of trustees dedicated to the trust's cause.

Mr. R.C.Gupta was a pioneer in the field of education and a distinguished student and scholar, whose untimely demise robbed the Indian educational community of a bright mind. The trust was founded with the aim of furthering his cause of education for the masses at the grass root level, reaching out to a large number of students and providing them with support and encouragement. The trust conducts various activities that involve helping the students at both academic and infrastructural levels.

Some of the activities are:

  1. Conducting a district-wide Science and Mathematics Competition for secondary school students to prepare them for the competitive environment that awaits them during final years in school and the ensuing decisive years that lead them to their respective career choices. Students are felicitated in a big Prize Distribution Ceremony and generously awarded to celebrate their efforts and boost their morale.
  2. Offering free participation in the above competition to anyone without the means to pay the registration fee. The trust aims at getting involved with children and spreading education on a strictly no profit - no loss basis. It is not driven by financial motives, and instead of spending on the lucrative, it focuses to spend where it actually matters.
  3. Helping poor students financially with school uniforms, text books, school fees and other related expenses on a case-by-case basis.
  4. Providing free or subsidized classes to students unable to follow the course material in school and not being able to pay for regular tuition classes.
  5. Collaborating with schools and other educational institutions in various academic activities as deemed appropriate by the members of the trust.
